BIS, BES? Nasıl Blackberry kullanırım?

Blackberry, diğer telefon cihazları gibi sadece telefon değildir; komple bir çözüm paketidir. Uçtan uca toplam çözüm hizmeti sunduğu için de bir defa kullananlar bağımlısı olmaktadır.

Peki bu hizmetten nasıl yararlanacaksınız? Her yerde adı geçen BIS ve BES ne işe yarıyor? Hangisini, niçin kullanmalısınız?

BilindiÄŸi gibi Blackberry hizmetinde epostalar tıpkı bir sms gibi cihaza ulaÅŸtırılır ve yeni bir eposta aldığınızda sizin seçiminize göre telefonunuz çalar ya da titrer. Epostanın cihaza gönderilmesi yöntemine “PUSH” ismi veriliyor, bir nevi birileri mesajları size doÄŸru itiyor. Halbuki diÄŸer cihazlarda yahut bilgisayarlarımızda kullandığımız Outlook’da epostalar “çekilir”. Belli aralıklarla eposta sunucusu kontrol edilir ve eÄŸer mesaj varsa çekilir, kullanıcı uyarılır.

Blackberry kullanırken mesajlar telefona iterek gönderildiğine göre, bunu gönderen birileri olmalı. İşte bu noktada BIS (Blackbery Internet Server) ve BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) devreye giriyor. Üretici firma RIM tarafından geliştirilen bu sunucu yazılımları mesajlarınızın telefonunuza gönderilmesinden sorumludur.

BES, kurumlar için geliÅŸtirilmiÅŸ bir çözümdür. Eposta sunucusunun hemen yanıbaşına kurulur ve her yeni mesajın anında kullanıcılara gönderilmesi iÅŸini üstlenir. BES’in Microsoft Exchange Server, Lotus Domino Server ve Novell Groupwise ile uyumlu çalışabilen 3 ayrı sürümü mevcuttur. Ayrıca BES ile cihaz arasınde gerçekleÅŸen her türlü veri alışveriÅŸinin güvenliÄŸi de garanti edilmiÅŸtir.

BIS, kiÅŸisel kullanıcılar için sunulan Blackberry çözümüdür. Blackberry telefon satın aldığınız zaman ilgili operatörün bu hizmeti sunup sunmadığını kontrol etmelisiniz. BIS’in çalışma ÅŸekli BES’e göre biraz daha farklıdır. 10 adete kadar POP3 hesabınızın kontrolünü yaparak telefonuna gönderilmesini saÄŸlar.
